Ray is President of the Virginia Cable Telecommunications Association, the state trade association representing Virginia’s cable industry. Ray’s principle responsibilities are representing Virginia’s cable industry before members of the Virginia General Assembly and the United States Congress. Ray has served in this capacity for the past 5 years. 

Prior to joining the VCTA, Ray was the Vice President of Government Affairs for the Virginia Bankers Association. 

Ray currently serves of the Governor’s Rural Broadband Advisory Council, the Virginia Utility Protection Services Board of Directors, and the Virginia State Corporation Committee’s Public Affairs Committee on Utility Safety Awareness. He is on the St. Mary’s Hospital Community Affairs Committee and the Benedictine High School Athletic Foundation. 

Ray is a graduate from Mary Washington College, The School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia and The Robert Morris School of Commercial Lending. 

Ray has been married to his wife Alison for 21 years. They have two children Ryan and Madeline.

    After graduating from the University of Virginia in 2006, Aaron traveled to St. Louis to participate in and study local government as the recipient of a Coro Fellowship. He continues to study in St. Louis where is simultaneously earning his Master's Degree in Social Work from Washington University and a Master's in Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary.
