Second Annual Sorensen Family Reunion
On Saturday October 9, 2010 from 11am to 4pm, Sorensen alumni, board members, supporters, friends, and staff will gather in North Garden, VA to celebrate the second annual Sorensen Family Reunion. We have a full day of barbecue, old-style Virginia music, bounce houses, and more planned for everyone. Discount advance tickets are available now— see details below. Food, Music, and Fun
Your ticket for the October 9 Sorensen Family Reunion includes the following:
A full lunch spread from Charlottesville's famous Jinx's BBQ—including chicken and pork, coleslaw, pasta salad, and beans. They'll also offer cookies, tea, and lemonade. Please let Tracy know about any vegetarian needs when calling to order your tickets. Be advised this is a BYOB event. We will start serving lunch around 12 noon.
Bouncing! We'll have two bounce houses this year so little kids and big kids get to bounce.
Thirteen Generations (John Hedges, PLP 09, and his family) have agreed to share a little old-time Virginia music with us. We will also host two other musical groups.
Back by popular demand, the Sorensen Institute Dessert Auction! Show off your best pies, cakes, and yummies.

What You Will Need
1. Picnic blanket and/or lawn chairs (limited tables and chairs will be available under the tent where food will be served).
2. Sun block, hats.
3. BYOB. If you want it, bring it.
4. Extra bottles of water. Water will be available, but feel free to bring your own too.
5. Your tastiest dessert item for the auction.
Please Note
We will be guests on private land for this event. The land owner—who is providing the site at no cost to Sorensen— has asked that we each do our best to pick up after ourselves (garbage receptacles will be provided). We've also been asked to please leave the campaign signs at home.

You may also leave your order and credit card information on her secure voicemail. Youth graduates are encouraged to bring their parents, and parents are encouraged to bring their children!
Ticket prices are as follows:
$25 per person in advance
$15 student price in advance (you must be a Sorensen graduate of any program and currently enrolled as a full-time student).
All children 10 and under will be admitted FREE.
$35 per person at the gate on the day of the event: no exceptions.
