Join Us for the Celebration!

We invite you to join us to celebrate the continued achievements of our graduates at the Sorensen Institute's 2008 Alumni Reunion. The event will be held on Saturday, October 4 at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Richmond. This will be a very special evening for us as we will also commemorate the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Sorensen Institute.

If you plan to attend the Reunion this year, please register by September 20. The Sorensen Institute has reserved a block of rooms at the nearby Omni Hotel that are available to our alumni attending the Reunion under the name "Sorensen." A complimentary shuttle runs between the Marriott and the Omni for your convenience.

Schedule of Events: We are offering a full day of events this year including a lunch at Sam Miller's with special guests and a behind-the-scenes tour of the renovated Capitol Building with two alumni "tour guides."  The evening gets underway at 5pm with a Reception and Silent Auction. Silent Auction: The auction will begin at 5pm and close at 5:55pm, just prior to dinner being served. Check out the Silent Auction page for a list of items you can bid on at this year's auction. All money raised will go towards supporting programs at the Sorensen Institute.

Bill Wood Scholarship:  As part of the commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Sorensen Institute, we are launching a challenge to all alumni to support a new scholarship fund to support Sorensen students in 2009. These scholarships will be given in honor of Bill Wood, Sorensen's founding Executive Director. We encourage all alumni to participate. Visit this page for more information.
