The Sorensen Institute is proud to announce the graduation of the Candidate Training Program Class of 2008.

For the first time in the nearly 10-year history of the program, our Candidate Training Program was held at James Madison's Montpelier near Orange. The facilities and setting proved to be a big hit among the participants.
This year's CTP class included four Sorensen alumni: Brandon Hudson and Charniele Herring (Political Leaders Program Class of 2006), and Terron Sims and Vance Ayres (Political Leaders Program Class of 2007).

Richmond Sunlight, the brainchild of Waldo Jaquith, Political Leaders Program Class of 2005, received accolades today from editors at the Virginian-Pilot.
Richmond Sunlight launched on January 10, 2007 and is now a program at the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy—which is led by the Reverend Doug Smith, also a graduate of the Political Leaders Program Class of 2005.
The Va-Pilot editorial reads in part, Jaquith's Web site replaces befuddlement with knowledge. He deserves credit for making the legislative process more public, more accessible, and more accountable.
