Congratulations to Vivek Kundra, a graduate of the Political Leaders Program Class of 2007.
Chief Technology Officer for the City of Washington, D.C., and formerly an Assistant Secretary for Commerce and Trade in the Kaine administration, Vivek has been honored with two major national information technology awards.
The 2008 MIT Sloan CIO Symsposium recognized Vivek as among the "outstanding IT innovators who use leadership skills, business-technology acumen, and out-of-the-box thinking to address ever-increasing challenges facing their organizations."
The technology publisher InfoWorld Magazine also named Vivek to its annual list of the top 25 CTOs serving in government, nonprofits, or private industry. Click here for InfoWorld's profile of Vivek.
If that weren't enough, Vivek is also profiled by and on the current cover of Public CIO Magazine. Click here to read that story.
