The Vienna Mayor appointed her to serve on the Town Business Liaison Committee for 2008, which serves to facilitate communication between the town government and local Chamber of Commerce. She is co-ordianting Business Appreciation Week, which is a collaborative effort between the Town and the State, and represents the Vienna in a program called "Neighborhood College," which is presented by Fairfax County to teach the ins and outs of working with local and regional government.  She also represents the Vienna on the Greater Tysons Citizens Coalition, a task force that considers the growth of the Tysons Corner Region.

Deborah intends to run again for town council in 2009.
