Mark Warner to Speak at Sorensen Event in Danville

Sep 16 2007 - 8:32pm

A reminder: former Virginia Governor and U.S. Senate candidate Mark Warner will be in Danville this coming Thursday evening to kick off the Sorensen Institute's new Southside Public Leadership Series.

The leadership series—six public lectures between September 2007 and May 2008—will focus on the opportunities for public service across southside Virginia for the emerging and potential leaders in that region. All events are free and open to the public and will be held in Danville.

Sorensen alumni are encouraged to attend. Please note that seating is limited so you may want to arrive a little early.

The next event in the series will take place in October and will include a talk on leadership by former Virginia Delegate and Sorensen State Board member, Paul Harris.

The Southside Public Leadership Series is funded by the E. Stuart James Grant Charitable Trust.
