PODCAST: Lawrence Eagleburger

Former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger spoke in Charlottesville on Tuesday evening April 13 at an event hosted by the Sorensen Institute and Piedmont Virginia Community College. Mr. Eagleburger spoke quite candidly about U.S. foreign policy "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow." He discussed situations in the Middle East, Afghanistan, China, and the Soviety Union. He also shared his thoughts about the proliferaton of nuclear weapons and terrorism. Mr. Eagleburger was introduced by Sorensen's Executive Director Bob Gibson.

    The first person to graduate from three Sorensen programs, Mike was elected Sheriff of Pittsylvania County in November 2007. He is also a graduate of the Political Leaders Program Class of 2006 and the Danville-Southside Leaders Program Class of 2005.
