Southside Public Leadership Series: Mark Warner

Sep 21 2007 - 8:18am

Last night in Danville the Sorensen Institute kicked off its Southside Public Leadership Series with a talk by former Governor and U.S. Senate candidate Mark Warner. There was standing-room only in the main auditorium at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research as Warner discussed his "Path to Leadership."

Links to news coverage of the inaugural event include an article in the Danville Register and Bee and a story on Lynchburg's ABC affiliate, WSET.

The next speaker in the series will be former Delegate and Sorensen State Board member Paul Harris on October 24. The Sorensen Institute's Southside Public Leadership series—six public lectures between September 2007 and May 2008—will focus on the opportunities for public service across southside Virginia for the emerging and potential leaders in that region. All events are free and open to the public and will be held in Danville.
